Mrs. Rebecca is the Director at Goddard Lake Houston. She has 37 years of experience, 25 years in leadership. She has experience working for profit, non-profit, corporate, and small childcare centers. Rebecca currently is a member of NAEYC and Reggio Children, both benchmarks for high quality early childhood education. She manages 1 Assistant Director and all our Teachers. In her role, she oversees all aspects of our operation, including health & safety, staffing, training, scheduling, and much more. Mrs. Rebecca is passionate about early childhood development and believes that all children deserve a quality early start to learning. She loves helping children grow and develop and she enjoys meeting new families. Mrs. Rebecca enjoys reading true crime books and watching scary movies. However, her favorite activity is riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle through the mountains with her husband. She holds a degree in Child Development and a CDA and is a State of Texas Certified
Mrs. Krissy has a little over 20 years in early childhood development industry. She enjoys and takes pride in creating a nurturing and learning environment for our kids. Mrs. Krissy is excited to provide a fun, loving, and learning place for all. Mrs. Krissy is excited to be working with wonder of learning using our inquiry-based curriculum. Outside of the classroom Mrs. Krissy enjoys spending time with her now 4 grown children and she is a very proud grandmother to one grandson. Mrs. Krissy enjoys taking bike rides with her husband and spending quality time with those that mean the world to her. Some of her hobbies include gardening and quilting. Her favorite way to relax is with a cup of coffee and a good book.
Ms. Ally has worked in early childhood education for nearly three years. What she loves most about teaching is watching the curriculum work in the children's daily routines and lives. Her top priority is creating a classroom environment where every child feels welcomed, loved and can grow and thrive while hitting the developmental milestones ahead of them.
Miss. Alyzae is a teacher in our Bunnies and Bumble Bee classrooms. She has 3 years in childhood development industry, she loves to encourage our babies to explore and learn new things. Miss Alyzae has a passions for working with children and enjoys helping them meet their developmental milestones. She is excited to creating a warm and fun learning classroom for our infants. Miss Alyzae enjoys keeping the babies engaged in sensory play watching them explore new textures by sight and touch allows each baby to try something new. She love to read books to our kiddos allow them to hear and learn new words and exploring a new world in a book. Her favorite book is the Very Hungry Caterpillar By Eric Carle. She loves all things animals and beauty. Favorite thing to do is to spend time with her family and friends outside of work. In her free time, she likes perfecting her craft and enjoys making people look beautiful by styling their hair and doing makeup.
Ms. Ashleigh has worked in early childhood education for over a decade and is deeply committed to supporting young children’s development through nutritious, home-cooked meals. She finds great joy in watching children learn to feed themselves and take delight in the meals she prepares with care and intention. In her kitchen, every detail matters, and she strives to ensure that each day runs efficiently, with a strong focus on consistency and success. Above all, Ms. Ashleigh wants every child to feel cared for and to know that, as long as she is here, they will always be provided with wholesome, nourishing meals in a loving environment.
Ms. Brenda is a teacher in our Squirrels classroom. She has 2 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Ms. Brenda enjoys teaching our inquiry-based curriculum, Wonder of Learning. She adapts the lesson plans so that the children are most likely to understand the lesson and retain what they have learned. Ms. Brenda believes in learning while having fun but also likes to keep the classroom on a scheduled for consistency and routine. Ms. Brenda builds a relationship with each child individually. This relationship leads to trust, which leads to a great learning environment. She makes learning interesting and fun by always being enthusiastic. Ms. Brenda does her most effective teaching in small groups. Ms. Brenda has been married for ten years and has two daughters. On her time off she enjoys family time, new adventures and listening to music.
Ms. Heavyn is a passionate educator with 5 years of experience in early childhood development. She has previously worked with infants and preschoolers. She holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and is committed to fostering a love for learning in every student. Throughout her career Ms. Heavyn has developed engaging curriculum that inspires critical thinking and creativity through songs, movement, and art activities. She believes in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Heavyn enjoys exploring new places in nature with her parents, two siblings, and niece. She also loves creating fun crafts and designs for shirts and cups. Ms. Heavyn enjoys spending her downtime at home curled up with a good book and her two cats. Miss Hilda is the Lead Teacher in the Butterflies classroom. She has 18 years of experience in the early childhood development industry and is Goddard Lake Houston’s longest tenured teacher! Hilda is Goddard Lake Houston’s version of Big Ben…She is always on time, never absent, and opens our building EVERY morning…She is an all-star and super consistent! Miss Hilda loves her classroom and won’t let anybody mess with it! As you might think, she has a very specific way she wants her classroom run, especially curriculum & cleaning. Miss Hilda is dedicated, works very hard, and has an amazing way of teaching 1-year-olds so much in a short period of time. Her class even sits at the table and eats lunch together (most of the time). She is super task oriented and won’t stop until the job is done. Hilda has 2 children, Melissa (34) and Mikayla (26), and 1 granddaughter, Luna (2).
Ms. Jocelyn has four years of experience in early childhood education and is dedicated to creating a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment. She values strong collaboration with families and believes that partnership is essential to supporting each child’s growth and development. What she loves most about teaching in early childhood is the opportunity to nurture young minds during their most formative years. Ms. Misty brings a wealth of experience with 22 years in the childhood development industry, including 18 years of dedicated service within the school district. Her passion lies in witnessing the growth, development, and progress of every child she works with, and she finds joy in supporting each child’s unique journey Ms. Misty takes the time to build a meaningful relationship with each child individually. This foundation of trust creates a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel safe and supported. Her enthusiasm makes learning both interesting and fun, and she thrives in small group settings, where her most effective teaching shines through Outside of work, Ms. Misty has been happily married for 27 years and is a proud mother to two grown children—a daughter and a son. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and taking long walks with her two dogs.
Ms. Paige is a dedicated childcare teacher with over three years of hands-on experience in early childhood education. Her passion for working with young children shines through in everything she does, from the thoughtful lessons she plans to the caring connections she builds with each student. Ms. Tiffany is a Teacher in the Butterflies classroom. She has 10 years of experience in the early childhood development industry. Ms. Tiffany has an incredible passion for working with children, and nothing brings her greater joy than being part of their journey as they grow, learn, and discover the world around them. Each day spent guiding and nurturing them fills her heart with immense fulfillment and pride. Miss Trinity has been in the early childhood development industry for 1 yea. She loves the bonds that are formed with the children. Mrs. Vivian is a floater and will be going from classroom to classroom helping where needed. Mrs. Vivian loves the idea of getting to work with all the teachers and the kids in their classrooms. She is happy to be learning how all the classrooms are run and implementing the wonder of learning curriculum. Mrs. Vivian is very outgoing and loves working with children of all ages. She is happy to be working in all the different areas that she’s needed. She is happy to learn and work with our inquiry- based curriculum and implement it in all the different classrooms that she will be in. Mrs. Vivian comes from a big family of 7 kids. She has 4 older sisters, 3 older brothers, and she is the youngest. She loves spending time with her grandchildren who are 3 years old, and 6 months old.
Ms. Denise has 26 years in the early childhood education industry, and she loves everything about it. She is very excited to be apart of the Wonder of Learning curriculum. Ms. Denise is passionate about providing a safe and nurturing environment for the kids. She wants all the children to feel loved and cared for. She is excited to the journeys and memories she's going to make while being here at Goddard Lake Houston. Ms. Denise is a very caring and fun person and treat all children like her own. At the end of the day, they will always have a smile on their face. Ms. Denise love the idea of being able to change the curriculum to better fit the child needs. Outside of the classroom she loves to watch cooking and crime shows. Ms. Denise enjoys going to the flea markets and spending time with her family.

What she loves most about teaching is being able to truly connect with her students—making learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. Her top priority is creating a classroom environment where every child and parent feels comfortable, supported, and valued. Each day, she strives to ensure that her students leave having learned something new and made progress toward their developmental milestones. Mrs. Mary is Support Staff in the Butterflies Classroom. She has 29 years experience in the early childhood education industry. She enjoys watching the children grow through active play and hands on experiences. Mrs. Mary is very affectionate and nurturing. She loves hugging the children and singing and dancing with them…You will probably catch her teaching the children her latest, most awesome dance moves! Mrs. Mary enjoys interior design, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Mary has 2 sons, Alfred & Charles.
Ms. Shelby is a dedicated educator in our Foxes classroom, bringing one year of experience in the field of early childhood development.
