Ms. Allison

Ms. Allison's goal is to increase children's language skills and help children experience a sense of community in her classroom. She guides children as they develop new physical abilities and express their own individuality through imaginative play, music, dancing, and outdoor fun. Ms. Allison provides opportunities for children to practice sorting, matching, and categorizing while also providing blocks and math cards for children to use to learn counting, number identification, and patterning. Ms. Allison also places a focus on age-appropriate problem resolution and, of course, making new friends! Children in her classroom strengthen large-motor skills with riding equipment, balls, and movement activities; improve fine-motor and eye-hand coordination through pouring, stringing, and (supervised) cutting activities; and develop coordination using beanbags, hula hoops, and balance beams. At meal time, Ms. Allison encourages children to serve themselves so that they can begin developing self-reliance--but always gives a helping hand when someone needs it!
